Chase Elliott is the winner of Sunday’s M&M Fan Appreciation 400 after Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch have been disqualified after failing post-race testing.

After Kyle Larson won Stage 1 under caution, Busch dominated Pocono and won Stage 2.

The final stage began with Busch trying to hold off a hard-charging Ross Chastain at the front of his team. Ryan Blaney’s playoff hopes ended this week when he blew out his left rear tire.

But Busch relinquished the lead when he opted to pit with 37 laps to go. Chastain stayed out and was able to jump him with a lap later.

Hamlin then passed Busch for second place, but was heard on the radio that he didn’t get enough fuel during the pit stop. However, Blaney was able to bounce back for a while when a caution came out with 23 laps to go after Blaney spun and hit the wall hard.

With 18 laps to go, the green flag flew and Hamlin and Chastain went head-to-head for the lead. Hamlin took his position on the inside and refused to give Chastain room, causing the No. 1 car to hit the wall in turn one and bring out another caution.

After the restart, Hamlin emerged because the chief with Busch on his tail. Elliott and Tyler Reddick battled for third place. The warning allowed Hamlin to place his gasoline points behind him and concentrate on the end.

Hamlin was in a position to fend off and maintain off Busch for the unofficial win. However in the long run, Elliott walked away victorious.
